1. Introduction

This Insurance Policy (“Policy”) outlines the insurance coverage provided to riders, drivers, and vehicles associated with Raido Bike Taxi (“Raido”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). It details the protection available during trips booked via the Raido app or website.

By using our services, you agree to the terms of this policy and acknowledge that Raido partners with licensed insurance providers in India to extend this coverage.

2. Scope of Coverage

Raido ensures that every trip under its platform — Bike Taxi, Cabs, or Auto — is covered by relevant insurance policies for both drivers and riders.

  • Rider Insurance: Covers accidental death, permanent disability, and hospitalization expenses arising from an accident during a Raido trip.
  • Driver Insurance: Provides personal accident coverage for Raido-registered drivers, including medical and loss-of-income support.
  • Vehicle Insurance: All vehicles operating on Raido’s platform are required to have valid third-party and comprehensive motor insurance as per Indian law.

3. Coverage Details

4. Eligibility Criteria

  • Coverage is applicable only for rides booked through the official Raido platform.
  • The trip must be active and recorded in Raido’s system at the time of the incident.
  • Drivers must hold valid licenses and vehicles must have up-to-date registration and insurance.

5. Claim Process

In case of an unfortunate event during a Raido ride, follow the steps below to initiate a claim:

  • Immediately report the incident through the Raido app or contact our insurance helpline.
  • Submit required documents including:
    • Ride ID and Trip Summary
    • Police FIR (if applicable)
    • Medical bills or hospitalization records
    • Driver and rider identity proof
    • Vehicle registration and insurance copy
  • Our insurance partner will verify the details and process the claim within 10–15 working days.
  • Approved claims will be settled directly to the beneficiary’s bank account.

6. Exclusions

  • Accidents occurring outside the official Raido ride period or platform.
  • Incidents caused by intoxication, reckless driving, or illegal activities.
  • Losses due to war, terrorism, natural disasters, or nuclear hazards.
  • Non-disclosure of pre-existing medical conditions at the time of claim.

7. Safety Commitment

Raido continually improves its safety standards through technology and awareness. Our app includes real-time GPS tracking, emergency contact features, and driver background verification for all users.

8. Policy Administration

  • Raido collaborates with licensed insurance companies regulated by the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI).
  • Insurance terms are subject to annual review and may vary depending on the insurance partner.
  • Raido reserves the right to modify, enhance, or replace insurance coverage as required by law or business needs.

9. Limitation of Liability

Raido acts only as a facilitator between users and insurance providers. The liability for claim settlement lies solely with the respective insurance partner as per the policy terms.

Raido’s liability, in any case, shall not exceed the amount received from the insurance company for the concerned claim.

10. Dispute Resolution

  • Any disputes related to insurance claims shall first be addressed through Raido’s insurance support desk.
  • If unresolved, they shall be governed by Indian law and subject to the jurisdiction of Nagpur, Maharashtra.
