1. Introduction
This Cancellation Policy outlines the terms and conditions under which users and drivers may cancel a ride booked through Raido Bike Taxi (“we”, “our”, or “us”). It also details any applicable cancellation charges, refund eligibility, and exceptions. By using our platform, you agree to abide by this policy.
2. Scope of Policy
This policy applies to all rides booked through the Raido Bike Taxi mobile app, website, or associated platforms across India.
3. Customer Cancellations
- Before Driver Assignment: If you cancel a ride before a driver is assigned, no cancellation fee will be charged.
- After Driver Assignment (Before Arrival): A minimal cancellation fee may apply to compensate the driver for lost time and fuel.
- After Driver Arrival at Pickup: Standard cancellation charges will apply as displayed in the app at the time of booking.
- At or After Ride Start: Once a ride has started, cancellations are not allowed, and the full fare will be charged.
4. Driver Cancellations
- If a driver cancels a confirmed ride without valid reason, the driver’s account may face penalties or temporary suspension.
- If a driver cancels before pickup, users will not be charged any fee, and a replacement driver will be assigned automatically if available.
- If no replacement is available, a full refund or ride credit will be issued to the user.
5. Cancellations by Raido
- Raido reserves the right to cancel rides for operational, technical, or safety reasons.
- In such cases, users will receive a full refund or ride credit at their discretion.
- In rare cases of service disruption (e.g., natural calamity or system downtime), cancellations will be automatically processed with no penalty.
6. Cancellation Charges
- Cancellation charges vary by city, ride type, and time of cancellation.
- Charges are displayed clearly during the cancellation process on the app before you confirm.
- All charges collected are used to compensate drivers for fuel, time, and effort.
- GST and other applicable taxes may be included as per government regulations.
7. Refund Eligibility
- Rides cancelled due to driver unavailability or app errors are fully refundable.
- Refunds for prepaid rides will be credited back to the original payment source or as Raido Wallet balance.
- Refunds may take 3–10 working days to reflect depending on the user’s bank or payment gateway.
8. Refund Exclusions
- No refund will be provided for rides cancelled after the driver’s arrival or once the ride has begun.
- Promo codes, discounts, or offers are non-refundable and non-transferable.
- Repeated misuse of the cancellation option may result in account suspension.
9. Force Majeure & Safety Cancellations
- If a ride is cancelled due to force majeure events (e.g., natural disasters, government restrictions, strikes, or emergencies), no penalty will apply.
- Users or drivers may cancel rides for safety reasons such as unsafe routes, intoxicated passengers, or mechanical failure — no cancellation fees will apply in such cases.
10. Technical or Payment Issues
- If a booking is cancelled due to a payment gateway failure or server issue, users will receive an automatic refund within 5–7 business days.
- If double payment is detected, the excess amount will be refunded to the source account after verification.
11. How to Cancel a Ride
- Users can cancel rides directly from the Raido app or website by going to “My Rides” → “Cancel Ride.”
- Cancellation confirmation and applicable fees will be displayed before completing the process.
- Users will also receive SMS/email confirmation for every cancelled booking.
